The Gold Coast is situated on Australia’s East Coast. The metropolitan area is near the south of Brisbane. The city is primarily known for the inland canals, waterways, beautiful sandy beaches, and various water sports. Apart from the magnificent beaches, there are theme parks, serene neighborhoods, a flourishing culinary scene, and superb rainforest for relaxing walks and waterfalls. If you love being in the coastal areas, then waste no time, book your next flight to this fun-filled city!

How to get in and out of the Gold Coast

The city is located close to the inter-state and inter-state highways; this makes it easy to get there. The Pacific Motorway is a fast way to reach the Gold Coast. It only takes approximately an hour away from Brisbane. If you’re coming from the south, the fastest way to get there by road is through the Pacific Highway. Coming from Foods Harbor, this route will take you about four hours to reach the Gold Coast. No matter which direction you come into the Gold Coast using, there are multiple options to use for public transport. These include bus and coach services. How to get around the Gold Coast

It can be both challenging and easy getting around the Gold Coast. This depends on the direction you want to go. It’s easy moving north to south as opposed to moving inland from the coast. Getting to the south is easier since driving directions on the Pacific Motorway and the Gold Coast Highway are available. Getting inland is more difficult since there is limited public transportation. The following are some of the easiest ways to get around the Gold Coast:

TransLink and Surfside Buslines are the main bus companies that operate on the Gold Coast. There are also night and after-midnight services for safe travel at an affordable price.
  • Light Rail System:  Built in 2014, it uses the Gold Coast Highway to take passengers to all the major tourist destinations on the city’s northern side.
  • Taxis:  You can access cabs all over the city. You can book in advance or simply hail one while you are out.
  • Water Taxis:  There are ferries and water taxi services in the city to help you discover the waterways and get to Stradbroke.
