Byron Bay History

Bryon Bay was originally inhabited by Arakwals in the 19th century who were the people of Bundjalung. Originally the city was named Cape Bryon by the Caption Cook after the Admiral Bryon of that time. Later on, this sophisticated working-class port started to be known as Bryon Bay and got this name then.
